Simple plaster drop-out molds on the wheel

It’s pretty easy to make plaster drop-out molds on the wheel.

Throw the inner drop-out form as well as an outer ring.

Wrap a plastic barrier around the form, tape the plastic closed, then push the outer ring inwards to secure the plastic.

Mix the plaster, and when the plaster is ready, pour into the mold area.

Once the plaster has set, use a wire-cutter to slice the clay from the wheel head and flip upside-down.

Remove the plaster mold from the clay.
